Anaconda – Carved wood piece

The Maloka Baru indigenous people make decor handicrafts symbolizing the impressive abundance of Amazon rainforest, produced by recycling palo sangre wood. The Tikuna people consider the anaconda as mother of the all over rainforest wildlife; according to the indigenous cosmovision and the elders storytellers, a chambira tree fell and became the anaconda, after a while went to the water and gave origin to the aquatic world.
