Pink river dolphin – Carved wood piece

The Tikuna indigenous people in the Amazon rainforest make decor handicrafts by recycling palo sangre wood, a remarkable fine species of wood with a natural reddish finish. The Amazon pink river dolphin, known as “the man of the water”, is the king of the water and companion of the fishermen. The artisans of the Maloka Barü carve the dolphin figure to generate awareness and understanding the risk of endangered species. Dimensions: 15 cm length.
